Andorra's diner coinage occupied a peculiar legal space for decades — the principality had no formal monetary authority and used French francs and Spanish pesetas interchangeably in daily commerce. The diner series was never intended for circulation; it existed primarily as a collector and tourist product, issued under the co-princes' authority as a soft revenue mechanism.
