| Obverse description | Central field occupied by multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic religious legend arranged in five or six registers within a plain linear border. The central inscription area is enclosed by a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a circular marginal legend in Arabic script, and further framed by an outer beaded border. The overall design follows the classic Abbasid-era epigraphic dinar format, with no figural imagery, the entire decorative programme consisting solely of calligraphic religious and political proclamations in fine raised relief. |
