Obverse description Highly stylized, degenerate Kushan-type royal effigy depicted standing facing, sacrificing left over a flaming altar in the lower left field, rendered in a bold but schematized manner characteristic of late Kidarite die-cutting. The king is shown with a distinctive crown adorned with pellets and floral or foliate elements, wearing draped robes. Brahmi legends and symbolic devices occupy the surrounding field. The overall design reflects a deliberate but increasingly formalized emulation of Kushano-Sasanian prototypes.
