A circular marginal legend in Arabic Kufic script surrounds the central area, enclosed between two concentric raised rings. The flan is irregular and slightly wavy at the edges, consistent with hand-struck Yemeni gold dinars of the Ziyadid period. The relief of the lettering is bold and deeply struck. |
