Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged within a rectangular border, the legend reading in several lines with the ruler's titles and name. The hammered flan displays the characteristic irregular outline typical of North African gold coinage of this period. The inscription is struck in raised relief against a flat field, with decorative floral or pellet ornaments interspersed between lines of text. The overall style is consistent with Maghrebi calligraphic coinage traditions of the early seventeenth century.
