| Opis rewersu | Aniconic field bearing multiple horizontal registers of Arabic Kufic script naming the Buyid ruler 'Adud al-Dawla and his honorifics, together with the mint name Madinat al-Salam and the Hijri date. A circular marginal legend, separated from the central field by a beaded inner border, carries additional titulature and Quranic or religious phrases consistent with Buyid dynastic coinage practice. The outer rim is formed by a second beaded border following the irregular contour of the flan. The calligraphy is executed in a bold, formal Kufic hand displaying the characteristic thick horizontals and elongated verticals of the period. |
