| Reverse description | Central square panel bearing several lines of Arabic inscription in Maghribi script, arranged concentrically within a circular cartouche set inside the square frame, containing religious formulae and dynastic proclamations. Marginal Arabic legends occupy the four outer segments surrounding the central square, separated by a beaded inner border and a dotted outer border following the irregular flan edge. The style is consistent with Zayyanid hammered gold coinage of Tlemcen, with densely packed calligraphy of uneven strike typical of the period. |
