Obverse description Helmeted bust of the prince facing left, rendered in a stylized Crusader manner, with a conical helm bearing a cross motif on the visor. A crescent appears to the right of the bust and a six-pointed star above, both serving as field ornaments characteristic of Antiochene coinage of this class. The bust is depicted in chain mail with visible shoulder armour, reflecting the martial imagery associated with the Bohemond dynasty. A beaded inner circle surrounds the central device, with the Latin legend disposed around the periphery.
