Reverse description A short cross pattée occupies the centre of the coin, with each arm terminating in a splayed foot adorned with two pellets or balls at its base. A trefoil ornament fills each of the four angles formed by the arms of the cross. The design is enclosed within a beaded border, with the place name legend distributed in two segments across the field, separated by star or rosette stops.
