| Opis rewersu | Central field divided by a plain cross extending to an inner beaded circle, creating four quarters each containing a pellet or annulet, forming the characteristic cross-and-pellets design of Sicilian denari of this period. A small fleur-de-lis or ornamental terminal is visible at the center of the cross. The surrounding Latin marginal legend reads ET SICILIE REX, completing the royal title across both faces. The flan is of irregular shape with a scalloped or wavy edge, consistent with hammered production techniques of the thirteenth-century Sicilian mint. |
