| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays a stylized Gothic castle or fortified tower motif flanked by turrets, rendered in the rough, flat relief characteristic of 13th-century Sicilian hammered billon coinage. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by a beaded or pellet border. The peripheral legend, partially visible and struck unevenly, reads DVCAT APL ET PRC CA (Ducatus Apuliae et Principatus Capuae), identifying the issuer's territorial titles.
