Obverse description Central device depicts two crossed cornucopias overflowing with fruit and produce, with a pomegranate plant rising between them at center, symbolizing the abundance of New Granada. The design is rendered in moderately high relief against a smooth field. The legend NUEVA GRANADA curves along the left and upper periphery in bold serif capitals, while the date appears in the lower exergual area. The entire design is enclosed within a finely beaded inner border.
