The circumferential Latin legend CONFIDENS · DNO · NON · MOVETVR · 1639 ✿ encircles the design between the beaded border and the outer rim, with the date 1639 and a floral ornament incorporated into the inscription. The square klippe planchet imparts an irregular, clipped-corner appearance to the otherwise circular struck design, characteristic of presentation or test strikings of this period. |
