Additional information

The Quebec Conferences of 1943 and 1944 were Allied strategic summits held at the Château Frontenac, where Churchill and Roosevelt hammered out the framework for Operation Overlord and, later, the Pacific endgame. Churchill's presence at both was politically fraught — by Quebec II in September 1944, British influence over Allied grand strategy was visibly diminishing as American industrial and manpower dominance reshaped the partnership.

Tristan da Cunha issues commemoratives almost exclusively through licensing arrangements, with no meaningful connection to the subjects honored. This piece is currency in name only.
