Reverse description A full-bodied Manx cat, depicted standing in three-quarter profile facing left, occupies the central field of the reverse. The tailless breed is rendered in fine detail, with the animal's musculature and short coat carefully modelled in relief against a flat field. The curved legend ISLE OF MAN arcs above the feline effigy along the upper periphery, while the denomination ONE CROWN and the date 1970 appear in two lines within a recessed rectangular panel along the lower portion of the coin.
