| Aanvullende informatie |
The Isle of Man Government issued a long-running series of aviation crowns throughout the 1980s and 1990s, commemorating individual aircraft types rather than events or anniversaries. The Boeing 747's inclusion reflects its commercial dominance in long-haul aviation at the time — by 1995, over 1,000 had been delivered to airlines worldwide. These Manx aviation crowns were struck in large quantities for the collector market and saw virtually no circulation, which makes worn examples a curiosity rather than the norm.
