Gunnar Sønsteby was Norway's most decorated resistance fighter of the Second World War, operating under the codename "Kjakan" as part of the Oslo Gang — a Milorg-linked sabotage unit responsible for destroying Nazi forced-labour records and disrupting German occupation infrastructure.
