Below the Madonna is a small crowned oval escutcheon bearing the quadripartite arms of Bavaria and the Palatinate with a central shield of the imperial orb, suspended from the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The circumferential Latin legend, in small lettering, concludes with the date at the end of the inscription. |
