| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Maximilian II Emanuel, Elector of Bavaria, facing right, with long flowing periwig. The Elector is depicted in elaborate baroque plate armor with ornamental pauldrons and a draped mantle over the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the late 17th-century court style, displaying fine detail in the chased hair and armor. The circumferential Latin legend in small characters runs along the outer border, separated from the effigy by the inner circle of the coin. |

| Reverse description | The Virgin Mary, seated and turned slightly to the left, holds the Christ Child on her lap in a devotional composition characteristic of Bavarian baroque coinage. Below the Madonna is a small crowned oval escutcheon bearing the quadripartite arms of Bavaria and the Palatinate with a central shield of the imperial orb, suspended from the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The circumferential Latin legend, in small lettering, concludes with the date at the end of the inscription. |
