Aanvullende informatie

Guatemala's 1929 centavo was struck during the long dictatorship of Lázaro Chacón, who had assumed the presidency two years earlier following a contested election. The Philadelphia Mint produced this issue — as it did for many Central American republics lacking domestic minting infrastructure — under contract arrangements that were standard practice for the region through much of the early twentieth century.
