| Descrizione del rovescio | The denomination UN CENTAVO and date 1863 are inscribed in three lines at the center of the field, enclosed within a large wreath of laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a bow, the whole composition framed by a fine inner border. The mint mark Mo appears in small characters at the lower center, beneath the wreath knot, identifying the Mexico City Mint. The design is clean and typographically formal, consistent with the coinage reform introduced under President Benito Juárez. |
