Obverse description Draped bust of Liberty facing right, wearing a cap inscribed LIBERTAD, with flowing hair falling to the shoulder. The engraver's signature W. WYON appears below the truncation. A circular legend in Latin script surrounds the effigy within a toothed border, the design executed in the refined neoclassical style characteristic of William Wyon's work at the Royal Mint.
