| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield supported by two woodcutters, one holding an axe and the other a paddle, each standing on a grassy mount. A mahogany tree rises above the shield, and a scroll below bears the national motto in Latin. The entire device is encircled by a wreath of olive branches and framed by a beaded border along the inner rim. The country name BELIZE appears as a legend in the upper field, and the date is inscribed at the bottom of the wreath. |
