| Description de l’avers | Right-facing draped bust of President Abraham Lincoln rendered in high relief, occupying the majority of the field, based on the classic portrait originally modeled by Victor David Brenner. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST arcs along the upper periphery as the obverse legend. The word LIBERTY appears in the left field at mid-height. To the right of the portrait, the dual commemorative dates 1776 and 2026 are separated by a tilde, with the mint mark D positioned below the date 2026. The engraver's initials VDB appear incuse at the lower left of the bust truncation, a tribute to the coin's centennial origins. |

| Description du revers | Central device depicts a heraldic Union Shield rendered in bold relief, consisting of thirteen vertical stripes in the lower body and a horizontal bar at the chief, referencing the preservation of the Union. The motto E PLURIBUS UNUM is inscribed on a horizontal scroll across the upper portion of the shield. A curved ribbon scroll at the base of the shield bears the denomination ONE CENT in large raised lettering. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcs along the upper periphery. Designer's initials LB (Lyndall Bass) and engraver's initials JFM (Joseph F. Menna) appear at the lower left and lower right of the shield base respectively. |
