Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of President Abraham Lincoln rendered in high relief, occupying the majority of the field, based on the classic portrait originally modeled by Victor David Brenner. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST arcs along the upper periphery as the obverse legend. The word LIBERTY appears in the left field at mid-height. To the right of the portrait, the dual commemorative dates 1776 and 2026 are separated by a tilde, with the mint mark D positioned below the date 2026. The engraver's initials VDB appear incuse at the lower left of the bust truncation, a tribute to the coin's centennial origins.
