The legend 'MAURITIUS' arcs across the upper periphery, flanked by small six-pointed star ornaments, while 'ONE CENT' curves along the lower arc. The date appears on the right side of the field between the inner dotted circle and the outer beaded border, with the whole design framed by a fine beaded rim.

Дополнительная информация	George VI's health was in steep decline through this period — he died in February 1952 — and coins bearing his effigy were still being struck for Mauritius in the final years of his reign as the island remained a Crown Colony under British administration. The 1949–1952 dates span the transition from post-war austerity coinage back toward more stable production schedules for colonial dependencies, many of which had seen interrupted or reduced mintage during the war years.
