Obverse description The full Coat of Arms of Jamaica occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield bearing a cross with five golden pineapples, supported on the dexter side by a Taino woman and on the sinister side by a Taino man, both in traditional dress. Above the shield, a crocodile stands atop a royal helmet and mantling. Below the shield, a scrolled ribbon bears the national motto in the legend. The country name JAMAICA arcs along the upper periphery, and the date appears in the lower field beneath the arms.
