| Obverse description | The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as rendered by engraver Susan Taylor, portraying Her Majesty at approximately 77 years of age. The Queen faces right, bareheaded, wearing a necklace and drop earrings, presented as a mature and dignified portrait bust.
