Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing bust of Charles Anthoni Johnson Brooke, second White Rajah of Sarawak, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and sideburns. The effigy occupies the central field with a naturalistic, portrait-style treatment characteristic of Victorian-era colonial coinage. The circumferential legend reads 'C. BROOKE RAJAH', divided on either side of the portrait. The coin is bordered by a continuous dentilated rim encircling the entire design.

Reverse description Central field bears the denomination 'ONE CENT' inscribed on two lines within an open wreath of laurel branches, tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The country name 'SARAWAK' arcs along the upper periphery in evenly spaced capital letters, while the date appears in the lower exergual area beneath the wreath. The entire design is enclosed within a finely executed dentilated border consistent with Heaton Mint production standards of the period.
