| Mô tả mặt trước | Rectangular silver field bearing a high-relief, monochrome engraved reproduction of Katsushika Hokusai's iconic woodblock print 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa,' rendered in polished and frosted silver tones without colour. A towering, curling wave dominates the composition, its claw-like foam crests extending across the upper field, with Mount Fuji visible in the distant right background amid smaller undulating waves. Centrally positioned within the wave's hollow is a small coloured enamel cartouche displaying the Ghanaian coat of arms in full colour. The circular legend surrounding the coat of arms reads 'REPUBLIC OF GHANA' above and '5g Ag 999 · 1 CEDI · 2026' below, all in Latin lettering. |

Ghana's 1 Cedi denomination has no meaningful circulation history in silver — this is a pure numismatic issue, produced for the collector market with no pretense otherwise. "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is the most reproduced woodblock print in history, originally published by Katsushika Hokusai around 1831 as part of his Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series. Ghana has no geographic or historical connection to Hokusai or Edo-period Japan; the Bank of Ghana is simply one of dozens of sovereign issuers worldwide licensing iconic imagery for bullion-adjacent collectibles. The print itself was a commercial product in its own time — Hokusai needed the money.
