| Obverse description | Four Chinese seal-script ideograms arranged in cruciform reading order around a central square hole, reading clockwise: 涼造新泉 (Liang Zao Xin Quan, meaning 'Liang made new coin'). The characters are rendered in a bold, archaic style typical of early medieval Chinese cast coinage. The field is plain, and the coin bears a raised rim on both inner and outer edges framing the legends. |

| Reverse description | Uniface reverse, entirely blank save for the central square hole and concentric raised rims at the inner and outer edges. The flat, unadorned field is characteristic of early cast cash coinage of the Sixteen Kingdoms period, where decoration was reserved solely for the obverse. |
