Obverse description Central square perforation surrounded by four Chinese characters in Regular script (Kaishu), arranged in clockwise reading order around the hole: 祥 (top), 符 (right), 元 (bottom), 寶 (left), forming the reign title and denomination inscription 祥符元寶 (Xiangfu Yuanbao). The characters are rendered in a bold, orthodox Regular script style characteristic of Northern Song imperial coinage. The flat field between the central hole and the raised rim is plain, without additional decoration or rim beading. The coin exhibits a patinated bronze surface consistent with private casting, with slightly irregular stroke definition compared to official mint issues.
