The flan is irregularly shaped with a roughly square central perforation, typical of Central Asian cash-type coinage of the early medieval period. The surface displays a uniform patina of green and brown bronze oxidation consistent with extended burial. The coin exhibits the crude fabric characteristic of Sogdian or related regional issues from the Chach or Ferghana regions. |

The surface is plain and unadorned, with the same irregular flan shape and central perforation visible on the obverse. A raised rim border is faintly discernible on portions of the periphery. The overall fabric and absence of design are consistent with the most basic anonymous cash-type issues attributed to uncertain Sogdian mints of the 8th century. |
