| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cast zinc cash coin of traditional East Asian form, featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a raised square inner rim. The four-character reign legend 治元通寶 (Trị Nguyên Thông Bảo) is disposed in the customary cruciform arrangement in regular script (kaishu): 治 above, 元 below, 通 to the right, and 寶 to the left of the central square hole. The characters are rendered in bold relief against a flat, unadorned field. The outer rim is raised and slightly irregular, consistent with the hand-casting technique employed during this brief rebel issue. |
