A single Chinese character 陳 (Trần) is cast in regular script above the square hole in the upper quadrant of the inner field, identifying the issuing dynasty. The remaining three quadrants of the inner field are blank. The surface exhibits heavy green cuprite and malachite patination throughout, with areas of brown oxidation, consistent with long burial or extended circulation. |
