| Obverse lettering | 康熙通寶 (Translation: Kang Xi Tong Bao — Precious Currency of the Kangxi Emperor) |
| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a central square hole framed by a raised inner rim and a plain outer rim. Two mint-identifying characters are cast in relief on either side of the central aperture: the Manchu script character 'ᠵᡝ' (Je) to the left and the Chinese character '浙' (Zhè) to the right, both identifying the Zhejiang Mint at Hangzhou as the issuing authority. The field is otherwise unadorned, consistent with standard Qing dynasty cash coinage practice. |
