| 背面描述 | Completely plain and uninscribed reverse with a central square perforation, surrounded by a raised inner rim and an outer border rim. The flat field between the rims is devoid of any decoration, legend, or mint marks, consistent with standard Vietnamese cash coin production of the early Lý dynasty period. The surface displays a dense green cuprite and malachite patina over a copper-brown base, with slight casting irregularities visible around the square hole. |

The Hàm Bình reign period (1205–1210) falls within the early Trần dynasty's consolidation of power following the decline of the Lý — though the attribution of cash coins to specific reigns in this era remains contested among specialists. The "private issue" qualifier in Barker's classification suggests this piece may have been cast outside direct imperial supervision, a practice not uncommon in medieval Vietnamese numismatics where local foundries operated with considerable autonomy. Barker #9.1 is among the thinner-documented entries in the series.
