| Obverse description | Crude hammered lead flan of irregular round form, heavily worn and encrusted. The obverse bears a roughly incuse or relief design consistent with the monogram or device typical of Danish East India Company cash issues for Tranquebar, the detail largely obscured by corrosion and surface deposits. The field is flat and uneven, characteristic of primitive lead casting and striking methods employed at the Tranquebar mint in the early seventeenth century. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays a crude rendering of the legend FOR TVN (an abbreviation of Fortuna, the motto of Christian IV), struck with minimal relief on an irregular lead flan. The lettering is barely legible due to heavy wear, oxidation, and encrustation typical of lead coinage recovered from tropical contexts. The overall fabric is rough and uneven, consistent with the primitive hammered lead cash pieces produced at Tranquebar for local circulation in the Danish colonial settlement. |
