Obverse description Cast round coin with a central square hole, surrounded by raised rims on both the inner and outer edges. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are arranged in the four cardinal positions around the central perforation, reading top to bottom and right to left: 乾 (top), 隆 (bottom), 通 (right), 寶 (left), forming the legend 乾隆通寶 (Qianlong Tongbao). The characters are bold and well-defined within the plain, unadorned field, consistent with standard cast cash coin typology of the period.
