(Translation: Qianlong (Emperor of Qing) / circulating coin. Càn Long Thông Bảo)
Reverse description Cast reverse with a central square hole flanked by raised inner and outer rims. Two Chinese characters in regular script are positioned horizontally to the left and right of the central perforation, reading right to left: 安南 (An Nam), identifying the issuing territory of Vietnam. The field is otherwise plain and unadorned, typical of cast cash coinage of this period.
