| Obverse description | Central square perforation surrounded by four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform reading order within a plain inner rim. The four-character reign legend 景興通寶 (Cảnh Hưng Thông Bảo) is cast in regular script (kaishu), with one character positioned at each cardinal point relative to the central hole. The characters are rendered in raised relief against a flat field, exhibiting the characteristic broad, unadorned strokes typical of Vietnamese Lê Dynasty cast coinage. A raised rim borders the outer edge of the coin. |
