| 表面の説明 | Four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform fashion around a central square hole, read in the traditional order: top, bottom, right, left. The legend reads 景興宋寶 (Cảnh Hưng Tống Bảo), rendered in regular script (kaishu) within an unadorned field. The characters are well-formed and boldly cast, with a plain raised rim encircling the design. No additional decorative elements appear in the field. |

Cảnh Hưng was the reign title of Lê Hiển Tông, who ruled nominally for over four decades while real power rested with the Trịnh lords in the north. The cash coinage issued under his title was produced not by the emperor's court in any meaningful sense but under Trịnh administration, a distinction that matters for attribution. Toda 124 places this type within the broader Cảnh Hưng series, which is among the most prolific and internally varied of all Vietnamese cast coinages — dozens of reverse variants are documented across the reign.
The absence of a Barker number suggests this specific variety had not been fully catalogued in that reference at time of publication.
