Obverse description Central square hole flanked by four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu), arranged in the traditional cash-coin format reading right to left and top to bottom in the four cardinal positions around the perforation. The characters 兵郎公司 (Binglang Gongsi, meaning 'Betel-Nut Company') occupy the field between the square hole and an inner raised rim. The coin exhibits an irregular, slightly lobed outer edge characteristic of cast tin issues, with a broad flat rim encircling the inscribed field.
