Reverse description The reverse is largely plain, featuring the standard raised inner square rim surrounding the central square hole and a raised outer rim. The mint mark character 興 (Xing), rendered in regular script, appears above the square hole, identifying the coin as a product of the Xingzhou mint. The reverse surface is heavily encrusted with reddish-brown and green patination, with areas of malachite and cuprite deposits obscuring portions of the flat field, consistent with extensive age-related corrosion.
