正面描述 This tall, narrow hansatsu note is printed in black ink on unbleached washi paper. At the upper portion, a vignette of Daikoku, the deity of fortune, is shown seated atop two cylindrical rice bales, his large treasure bag at his side — a traditional auspicious motif employed on Edo-period merchant exchange notes. The denomination and exchange pledge appear in bold brushwork characters arranged vertically in the central and lower fields, accompanied by red seal impressions of the issuing office.

背面描述 The reverse is printed on plain washi paper in black ink with multiple columns of vertically arranged kanji characters identifying the three Mitsui family signatories of the Matsusaka branch. Red seal impressions are visible alongside the name columns, authenticating the note on behalf of the issuing Mitsui-gumi merchant house. The overall surface shows the characteristic texture of handmade Japanese paper with visible laid lines.
