The central field is divided into two ornate guilloche medallions, each bearing the numeral '1', flanked by intricate lathe-work borders. The upper arc carries the bank title 'EL BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA' in a curved banner, with the place of issue 'LA PAZ.' at upper left and the date '11 de Mayo de 1911' at upper right. Flanking the central oval are two ornamental cartouches, each containing the numeral '1', set within elaborate floral and scrollwork underprint patterns that fill the entire field. The bank name 'BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA' is rendered in two arched legend lines at the top and bottom of the design, with the printer's imprint 'OFFICINA CARTE VALORI FILIPOV LOMBARDI & C. - MILANO' at the lower margin. |
