Reverse description Reverse of the host Spanish colonial 8 Reales cob (macuquina) segment, showing partial remnants of the original die design including a fragmentary crowned royal arms or cross design, heavily worn and partially obscured by the irregular cut edges. The surface retains the characteristic rough, uneven appearance typical of hammered cob coinage struck at Spanish American mints. Legends and design elements are largely indistinct due to the cutting and wear of the host coin.
