Описание аверса	The obverse features the Panamanian national coat of arms prominently centered in the field, depicting a quartered shield supported by a cornucopia and a winged wheel, flanked by crossed swords and tools, surmounted by a harpy eagle with wings displayed and a scroll bearing the motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO. A row of nine five-pointed stars arcs above the shield. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1 BALBOA appears in large letters along the lower periphery. The fineness designation LEY 0.500 is inscribed in the lower field beneath the shield, and four bullet-point ornaments punctuate the field at the sides.

Описание реверса	The reverse presents a bold left-facing bust of Vasco Núñez de Balboa, the Spanish conquistador and explorer, depicted in high relief wearing an ornately engraved morion helmet adorned with intricate scrollwork and riveted brim details. His bearded face is rendered with fine portraiture, and a ruffled collar is visible at the base of the bust. The legend VASCO NUÑEZ DE BALBOA arcs along the upper and right periphery in large capital letters. The date 1982 is inscribed in the lower exergue beneath the portrait.
