| 正面描述 | Papal coat of arms of Clement XIII centered in the field, composed of a quartered shield bearing the Rezzonico family arms — featuring a tower, diagonal bands, and a rose — surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys of Saint Peter. The shield is flanked by elaborate baroque decorative elements. The partial legend around the periphery reads CLEM·XIII PON·M·A·I·, abbreviated from CLEMENS XIII PONTIFEX MAXIMUS ANNO I, indicating the pontifical year. |

Clement XIII's pontificate opened under immediate financial strain — his election in July 1758 came just as the Jesuit suppression crisis was accelerating across Catholic Europe, with Portugal having already expelled the order and France moving toward the same. The Papal States' copper coinage of this opening period was struck at Rome under tight fiscal constraints, with the baiocco serving the most basic daily commerce of the city.
The "With year" designation distinguishes this type from the undated issues of the same reign, a cataloguing distinction that reflects actual die changes rather than a minor variation.
