| Obverse description | Printed on light-toned paper with a fine guilloche underprint in blue and pink tones, the obverse bears the heading PROVINCIA DE SALTA above the legend BONO DE CANCELACION DE DEUDA / LEY 6228, with the provincial coat of arms at left and the original face value of $a 1,000 Pesos Argentinos at upper right. A rectangular overprint stamp at right centre reads A1 / UN AUSTRAL, revaluing the instrument to one Austral, while the expiry notice FECHA DE CADUCIDAD: 31 DE DICIEMBRE DE 1987 is printed across the centre field.
